Our hearts ache, and our eyes cry, for the terrible earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria. For believers definitely a prayer, for atheists, a thought of respect. We are close to the populations who suffer from the loss of relatives, friends and acquaintances, and also to the many displaced people who face very serious problems, such as cold, thirst, hunger, and the lack of adequate care. It takes an immediate commitment from all over the world to save as many lives as possible, and to help people in need. A global mobilization of solidarity is needed to show each other that we are human beings, even if we all don't often show it.
